Ephesians 3:1-6
May 3rd 2026, First Lord’s Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor

Having understood the mystery of the gospel, Paul had his perspective on life changed, even though he was in prison.

First, he accepted his suffering through faith. He referred to himself not as a prisoner of Rome, but as a 'prisoner of Christ Jesus,' and accepted his current situation through faith, believing that he was in the hands of the Lord.

Second, he walked faithfully, regarding the gospel as his mission. Once he persecuted those who believed in Christ, but now he was entrusted to proclaim the gospel of Christ. For him, this was indeed a mission given by grace.

Third, he deeply loved souls as those who share in God's grace. Through the gospel, they were made co-heirs, members of one body, and partakers of the promise. Therefore, he approached people with love.

We are also having grace as prisoners of Christ Jesus. Let us faithfully serve the Lord and the church as we walk forward!
