Ephesians 4: 25-29
August 2nd 2026, First Lord’s Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
Having believed in Christ and been saved, we have been made into a new self. Here, we are taught that there is a way of life befitting this new identity.
First, we should speak the truth rather than falsehood. Falsehood destroys trust and ruins our relationships with one another. To build up the body of the Lord, we ought to walk in truth before the Lord and our brothers and sisters.
Second, we should not let anger carry over to the next day. As human beings, we may sometimes get angry; however, we are taught not to let the anger persist until the following day, because that allows Satan to use the anger. Reminding that the Lord has forgiven us, and we should entrust everything to Him, who deals with all matters righteously.
Third, we should let our hands and mouths be used to give grace. Let us be such ones who bestow grace upon others and speak words of grace.
When people, who have been made new, keep these things in mind and serve each another, the church is getting built up in love within the Lord!
<Word of the Bible>
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Ephesians 4:29 (English Standard Version)
