Ephesians 4: 17-24
July 26th 2026, Fourth Lord’s Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
Last week, we learned about the importance of building up the church in love. Today, we’ll go further and focus on the points that are solemnly urged upon us.
The first is not to return to our old ways. If we’re not careful, even as Christians, we may slip back into the old ways of our pre-Christian days. We need to constantly examine the direction we are currently heading.
The second is to learn from Christ. We need to humble our hearts and learn how Jesus walked and what He spoke. It is also important to learn through fellowship with the Lord in prayer and through His Word.
The third is to put on the new self. It is to cast off the old self, and put on the new self in spirit and mind, which is created after the likeness of God. This is not an only once event, but we need to continue to put on the new self day by day.
Let us put on the new self every day and walk, testifying Christ through the entire church!
<Word of the Bible>
and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
