Matthew 25: 14-30
June 22nd 2025, Fourth Holy Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
From this parable of the talents, we can see that the Lord sees our faithfulness. The Lord praised the servants. What was good about them?
First, they were faithful even when their master was not there. The master was away on a journey, and they were not watched by him, but they still worked faithfully.
Second, their faithfulness was accompanied by their actions. I think there are some people who have the wish, but do not put it into practice. On the other hand, they immediately took action.
Third, their faithfulness was due to their love for their master. When the master returned, they reported to him and said, “See!” We can see that they worked because they wanted to please their master. It was not out of a sense of duty, but out of a heart that loved their master.
I am truly grateful to all of you who are faithful as always. The time will come when we will meet the Lord. The most important thing in life is how we are valued by God. Even if we might not have done something big, let us walk in a way that the Lord would say to us, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” The Lord is paying attention to our faithfulness.
<The Word of the Bible>
His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. e You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
Matthew 25 : 21 (English Standard Version)
