Ephesians 3: 14-16
May 31st 2026, Fifth Lord’s Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
Having understood the grace he had received from God, Paul was led to prayer. Let us learn what we should keep in mind when we pray:
The first is to pray with humility and intimacy. He mentions “bow my knees”, but this refers to an attitude of the heart rather than a physical posture, so we need to pray with humility. At the same time, having been children of God, we can pray with intimacy toward the Father.
The second is to remember the position given to us by the Father. We are not only made children of God, but we are also made members of God’s family. We are to be kind to that family of God and pray together with one heart.
The third is to seek the growth of our inner being. Through the Holy Spirit, God strengthens our inner being according to the riches of His glory. That inner being is being renewed day by day.
We tend to be conscious of the outward, but rather, let us be conscious of the inner being. And let us pray and ask that our inner being may be strengthened further.
<The Word of the Bible>
that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
