1 Samuel 3: 10
October 18th 2026, Third Lord’s Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who faithfully gather for worship. Although we hold worship services every week, let us take this opportunity to reaffirm how we should prepare our minds.

First, let us prepare with prayer. Worship begins at 10:30, but in reality, the preparation of our hearts already begins before that. Surely, fellowship with our brothers and sisters is pleasant, let us take our seats five minutes before the service begins, quiet our hearts, and wait as we pray to the Lord.

Second, let us eagerly await what the Lord has to say to us. Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant hears.” If someone looks to the Lord and waits for Him with such a humble, hungry, and thirsty spirit, He will bless the person in a special way, and speak to them abundantly.

Third, let us worship the Lord with a heart to offer. The basic of worship lies in offering. Let us offer our praise and offerings from the heart. Furthermore, let us listen to the Word with a heart to offer and respond to the Word with a heart to offer. If our hearts are focused only on receiving, we cannot receive true blessings.

The Lord will richly bless those who worship Him with the faithful attitude, and pour out many blessings upon them. Let us all approach today’s worship with the faithful attitude!

<Word of the Bible>
And the Lord came and stood, calling as at other times,“Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant hears.”
