Ephesians 4: 1-6
July 5th 2026, First Lord’s Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor

We have been called by the Lord and have received the wonderful grace of salvation. Therefore, we are taught to walk in a manner worthy of the calling.Let us learn what is necessary to do so.

First, we should remember the position to which God has called us. If we keep in mind both our former state and our current standing, we will walk in accordance with the Lord’s will.

Second, we should maintain the unity of the Spirit. Great emphasis is placed on this. It means exercising the utmost humility and gentleness, showing patience, bearing with one another in love, and being bound together in the bond of peace.

Third, we should remember that we are made one in the Lord. It is crucial to ground this unity not in people, but in what the Lord has done. It is important to keep our eyes fixed on the Lord, not on people.

God’s will is that we the redeemed are to walk in a manner worthy of our calling. Being led by the Spirit, let us be humble, gentle, patient, and with perseverance, maintain the bond of peace, and allow ourselves to be used for the unity of the church!
