Zechariah 14: 6-15
August 3rd 2025, First Holy Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
We are learning about the events that will occur in the last times, and today’s passage mentions the Millennium. Three things are told in today’s passage.
The first is that the glory of the LORD will shine in the darkness. When Jesus returns to earth, it is told that His own glory will replace the light of the sun. We need to remember how much the LORD is great and glorious.
The second is that the water of life from the LORD will flow out. Israel is a land where water is extremely precious, but the LORD will make water flow out from Jerusalem. This can also be seen as a symbol of spiritual blessing. Even now, spiritual blessings flow out from us to those around us and can be used by the LORD.
Thirdly, the Lord will become the King of the entire earth. Times change, and environments and circumstances change. However, the fact that the Lord reigns over all remains unchanged. Let us walk in trust in Him.
As we look forward to the Lord’s return and His reign over the Millennium Kingdom, let us continue to rely on the Lord and be used for His glory.
<The Word of the Bible>
On that day living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea. It shall continue in summer as in winter.
Zechariah 1 4 : 8 (English Standard Version)
