Zechariah 14: 16-21
August 10th 2025, Second Holy Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
Today marks the final passage in the Book of Zechariah. We have learned about God’s upcoming program, including the Rapture, the Tribulation, the Battle of Armageddon, the Second Coming, and the Millennial Kingdom. Today’s passage also describes about the Millennial Kingdom. Let us remember two things:
The first is not to neglect worshiping and giving thanks to the LORD of hosts. Those who believe in the LORD and survive the Tribulation will also come up to Jerusalem once a year to worship the LORD and King of hosts and to celebrate the Feast of Booths. They will worship and give thanks to the LORD, reminding God’s faithful protection and blessings up to then. As the ones who have been redeemed from sin, we also must not neglect worshiping and giving thanks to the LORD.
The second is to be aware that we have been made “holy to the LORD.” At that time, even everyday items such as pots shall be considered holy. We also have been made saints by the LORD’s grace. Are we living in a way that deserves it? Let us not walk an indecisive path, but walk in dedication, serving the LORD.
Even in this day and age, we are called by the LORD and made saints. Let us live in a way that deserves it!
<The Word of the Bible>
And every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holy to the LORD of hosts, so that all who sacrifice may come and take of them and boil the meat of the sacrifice in them. And there shall no longer be a trader in the house of the LORD of hosts on that day.
Zechariah 14 : 21 (English Standard Version)
