Isaiah 49: 13-16
May 11h 2025, Second Holy Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
The people of the Kingdom of Judah were taken into Captive in Babylon because they rebelled against God. During that time, they may have felt that God had forsaken them. Let us learn from this passage.
First, God will not forget us. Mothers would not forget their children that they gave birth to. Even if they might forget, God will absolutely never forget us.
Second, God will remember us enough to engrave our names. If we engrave something on our hand, not only will we never forget it, but also will we always see it and keep it in our heart. The LORD always remembers us enough to engrave our names on His hands.
Third, God will look after us and restore us. The temple in Jerusalem was destroyed and the treasures inside were taken away, but the LORD said that He would restore them. God is the one who restores.
Sometimes we may lose sight of God, but let us not forget that God always remembers us and keeps His eyes on us.
<The Word of the Bible>
“Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.
Isaiah 49: 15 (English Standard Version)
