Zechariah 11: 7-17
July 6th 2025, First Holy Day of the Month
 Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor

Let us learn together from the latter half of Zechariah 11.

The first is to be aware of the guidance of the true Shepherd. Those who refuse the guidance of the shepherd, will eventually have the staffs of charity and union broken. We always need to be aware that the Lord, our true Shepherd, is nurturing and guiding us, and we need to follow Him.

The second is to recognize the value of walking with the True Shepherd. The three shepherds gave Zechariah 30 pieces of silver, the price of a slain slave. Later Judas Iscariot sold Jesus also for 30 pieces of silver. How much are we aware of the value of being nurtured by and walking with true Shepherd?

The third is to be on guard against false shepherds. They do not look for the scattered, nor heal the wounded, nor feed the weary. The Lord will judge such people. We need to be on guard against such false shepherds.

There are problems even if we are saved. Thus, be aware of the true Shepherd, who is with us, and let us walk always in trusting, be thankful, and obedient to him!

<The Word of the Bible>
Then the LORD said to me "Throw it to the potter" - the lordly price at which I was priced by them. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the LORD, to the potter.
