Acts 16: 6-11
March 8th 2026, Second Lord’s Day of the Month
 Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor

Today, we have the church dedication service. Let us learn about the Lord’s will through the second missionary journey of Paul and his companions.

First, the Lord sometimes guides us through closing our ways. Paul and his companions tried to preach the Word in Asia, but the Holy Spirit did not allow them. By closing the way, He led them in the direction of His will. The Lord sometimes does the same in our journeys as well.

Second, the Lord leads us beyond human thought. After seeing a cry of a Macedonian in Troas, they crossed into Macedonia. This opened the way for their missionary work in Europe. The Lord is such one who always leads us beyond our own understanding.

It is important for us to flexibly follow His guidance. We must be sensitive to the voice of our souls. And we must be confident that the Lord has a plan for us.

Also with the construction of our new church, things are not going as we wish. But let us still remember that the Lord has a plan for us. Let us rely on the Lord and do earnestly what we can now!

<The Word of the Bible>
And when Paul had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.
