2 Corinthians 9: 5
February 8th 2026, Second LORD’s Day of the Month
 Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor

Jesus has given the mission of preaching the gospel to the church, and each of us. This is given, not as a burden, but a privilege to participate in response to the Lord’s grace. As one way of putting this into practice, we offer the Faith Promise Offering for Missions.

First, this is the way of giving told in the Bible. By setting money aside in advance and planning offer it for the work of evangelism, we can ensure the ongoing and stable advancement of missionary work.

Second, each person prays for the amount to give and makes a promise before the Lord. This offering is not obligatory. We give the amount led by the Lord, with joy and as a personal promise to the Lord.

Third, we give it by faith. We offer this offering with the faith that the Lord will use it abundantly and also meet our needs.

During the worship service on the 22nd, we are asked to submit a renewal amount form anonymously, so that we can respond freely before the Lord. While it is not mandatory, we believe that the Lord will be pleased if each church member takes part in this work of grace under the Lord’s guidance. Let us participate it voluntarily.

<The Word of the Bible>
So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to go on ahead to you and arrange in advance for the gift you have promised, so that it may be ready as a willing gift, not as an exaction.
