John 4:24
November 2nd 2025, First Lord’s Day of the Month
Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
Worshiping God is a wonderful blessing. What is worship?
First, it is to give glory to God. As sinners, we deserve to be judged by God and condemned to eternal suffering in hell. However, because of God’s love and mercy, we were paid back with the price of Christ’s life. Therefore, we are required to give glory to the Lord through worship.
Second, it is to offer. It is to offer praise and prayer from our hearts, to offer what we have been given. The same is true when listening to a sermon. We receive teachings, and at the same time, we respond to the Word and offer ourselves to God.
Third, worship is the center of the Christian life to believe in God. Worship is the center of the Christian life as a child of God. If anything other than worship has become the center of our lives, it is not the right state and we will miss out on God’s blessings.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were not able to gather together. It reminds us once again what a great blessing it is to be able to gather at church and worship every Sunday. Let us not take every Lord’s day for granted, but thank Him, and give our heartfelt worship to God!
<The Word of the Bible>
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
