Mark 10: 13-16
November 16th 2025, Third Lord’s Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
Jesus blessed the children, saying that whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will never enter it. Let us learn three important lessons from this passage.
The first is to lead children to Jesus. The Lord rebuked his disciples for preventing children from coming to Him. This means that it was His will to invite children close to Him and bless them. Both as individuals and as a church, let us lead children to hear the Lord’s word at church.
The second is to rely thoroughly on Jesus who is gracious. Children rely completely on their parents because they know they are weak. The Lord wants us to be humble and rely on Him in the same way.
The third is to faithfully believe in Jesus and entrust ourselves to Him. We are not saved by our deeds. It is to simply believe in Jesus, accept Him, and entrust ourselves to Him in a humble manner. This is always necessary in our life of faith.
Let us bear in mind that children are the key to our spiritual growth, and follow their example!
