Zechariah 9:1-17
June 1st 2025, First Holy Day of the Month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, Pastor
Let us learn some important things through what the LORD said in the chapter 9.
The first is that, the LORD of justice sees everything. The sentence of judgment was pronounced on the nations in the vicinity of Jerusalem. God said, “I am keeping watch.” God saw everything and later judged the nations. Let us remember that the LORD is keeping watch everything about us with His eyes, and deals with us correctly.
The second is that, the meek and peace-bringing King is coming. It was prophesied about the Savior who would be coming soon. Many kings boast of their strength and fight against other nations. But the coming King, the Lord, is meek and brings peace. Let us follow his example.
Third, the Lord, the Shepherd, will be a shield and save us. It was said that the LORD Almighty would shield them, protect and guide them. The Lord became our shield, died on the cross as our substitute, and saved us. And now, let us remember that the Lord is always with us as our shepherd, and is protecting and guiding us.
How much do we trust in and be aware of this wonderful Lord? Let us walk our lives, trusting and praising Him always!

and the L ORD Almighty will s hield them. They will destroy and overcome with sling stones. They will drink and roar as with wine; they will be full like a bowl used for sprinkling the corners of the altar.
